Shiatsu Massage
What Is Seated Shiatsu Massage?
Seated Shiatsu massage is based around a sequence developed from traditional Japanese Shiatsu and Anma massage techniques to improve health and energy flow and reduce tension. Acupressure points are located throughout the body on meridian lines, and are stimulated using pressure, with the addition of kneading, percussion, mobilisation and stretching. This will balance the flow of energy and stimulate the muscular, nervous, lymphatic, immune, and circulatory systems, leaving the client relaxed, yet energised – the perfect remedy to a stressful life.
During the treatment the client is fully clothed and sitting on a specially designed ergonomic chair. It targets the back, neck, head and shoulders as well as the arms and hands.
A treatment is deeply relaxing and has an overall calming effect allowing the body’s self-healing processes to work more effectively. For further information, take a look at the Shiatsu Society UK.
